'Coyote Ugly' Inspired Summer Job...

Okay, so I have been thinking about all the stuff that I wanna be doing this fine summer and the bottom line to it all is I just want to be having a good time. If I could strategically plan it all out though, drawing out my summer months like a map, it would be likely to follow the format of my new favourite film, ‘Coyote Ugly’, yet with a couple of twists.

To anyone out there who hasn’t yet seen this film, OH MY GOODNESS you must see it! So, I would go to a foreign land (maybe America, because well why not?) and begin the chase of my dream to be an actress on the screen, shooting on locations which are basically one of the 7 wonders of the world and all that jazz. I’d have to have some cash, so, naturally, being the dancing girl that I am, I would utilise my skill and get a rocking job in a quirky, southern style bar, just like in the film. Now things are getting interesting.

In between shifts (where I may or may not adopt a totally awesome American stage name like Oregon or Capri etc.), I would spend time auditioning, writing lyrics, strumming my guitar and doing up my little New York apartment, you know making some curtains and padlocking the door etc. I would also practise with empty squash bottles, those bar tricks where you spin two bottles simultaneously and then pour the shots. Obviously, if I’m going to do a job, I’m going to be doing it darn well and with effortless style and ease.

Naturally, among this story, at some point I will cross paths with a perfect stranger who is a go-wherever-the-wind-takes-me kinda person and they would become a rock in my new New York life, inspiring me and driving me to be the best I can be. They would show me around the city and introduce me to an aspect of life that I’ve never before known. After all, it is the experiences which we have that makes us who we are.

I’d like to think this would be my summer of reinvention and I would establish how to have fun, stand on my own two feet and simultaneously love every moment of it. If this summer job is out there, I am absolutely the candidate for it. If it is in an exotic land (or London) I wanna know about it!
