A Birthday Spa Break to 'Ramside Hall Hotel'
I have always adored a spa day and for my birthday this year, I was so lucky to be taken away for a luxurious spa stay at the stunning Ramside Hall Hotel which was the loveliest start to February! As soon as you drive up to Ramside Hall through the tree-lined driveway, gently guiding you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you know that you're in for a luxurious and oh so decadent time of ultimate relaxation and delicious dining in a location so beautiful, you'll never want to leave!
Upon our arrival we checked in and went up to our room which had beautiful views out across Ramside's well manicured golf course and then further on from the golf grounds, over to their treehouse lodges. The spacious room came with all the amenities you require to fully make yourself at home including an all important mini kettle and tea, a necessity for any tea lovers out there! You also get some lovely Elemis bath and body minis for ultimate spa hotel vibes!
Not wanting to waste even a moment, we visited the spa reception to book in our two hours of evening spa time and before we knew it it was time to head over and indulge in some all important r and r at the spa. Ramside has a fantastic 25m pool which is a nice and ambient temperature so great for relaxing in or getting some swimming practice in ahead of your summer holidays which is what we did. You can lounge by the poolside on one of their recliner chairs and absorb the spa vibes or swim, hop in the hot tub which is sure to warm you through thoroughly or enjoy an aromatherapy steam in steam room which gradually increases in warmth to allow you to gently acclimatise. Their authentic dry heat sauna is also a super popular facility with spa goers. There's a hydra-therapy pool available too if you're looking for a super bubbly time and the whole spa stays open until 10pm too so if you love a twilight spa session, it's certainly the place for you.
After we'd had a 1 hours swim, we'd certainly built up an appetite so we got ready for dinner at Ramside's very own Fusion restaurant which serves the most delicious pan-Asian dishes and there're so many to choose from. I opted for their Japanese chicken noodle soup and my boyfriend had the Pad Thai noodles, both of which were delicious. We had some lovely drinks too including a rose, Espresso Martini and a tiger beer.
The rest of the evening we spent relaxing and in the morning we had breakfast before heading over to the pool to enjoy the lovely spa facilities again.
Our afternoon was already organised too as my boyfriend knows how much I love tea so he'd arranged for us to have afternoon tea, which was absolutely amazing! Ramside was serving their winter afternoon tea menu and it was sublime! They did a delicious cranberry and orange trifle and yummy homemade scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, as well as a delicious array of other bite sized goodies!
I tried the Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey and a Raspberry and Blackberry infusion and we also tried the coffee which was so aromatic and the perfect mid-afternoon boost! We visited the pool again that evening and luxuriated in the calm atmosphere before a cosy and relaxed evening watching a movie in our room.
We were staying for two nights so the next morning we had a quick breakfast of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and some cereal, which was delicious, before we checked out.
Our minibreak to Ramside Hall Hotel was so beautiful and if you're also looking for a getaway to relax and unwind, I highly recommend visiting as you'll certainly enjoy all that this wonderful spa hotel has to offer.
