A Chester City Break To 'Crabwall Manor Hotel and Spa'

Spring has finally sprung and to kickstart the new season and make the most of the newly improved weather, we went on a wonderful break to the UK's smallest city, Chester, where we stayed at the stunning Crabwall Manor Hotel and Spa. Nestled in the idyllic suburbs of Chester, this beautiful hotel plays host to a plethora of special occasions and is situated only a stone's throw from all that this wonderful city has to offer.

Travelling from Newcastle to Chester took around 2hours 50minutes not including a quick break en route. We drove straight to Crabwall Manor and checked in to our room, which was so beautifully laid out and decorated too. Chic and stylish, whilst also maintaining a classically spacious and minimalist aesthetic, with nice colour accents.

The rooms are well equipped with all that you need to make the most of your stay too, including a large TV, shower gel, conditioner and shampoo, a kettle and some tea and coffee. Once we had dropped off our bags, we headed out to Cheshire Oaks designer shopping village to get dinner and have a look at the shops, before heading back to enjoy the start of our break. The room had a great bathroom with a fantastic large bath which was perfect for a long soak after a day of travelling! My boyfriend also thought another night's stay was in order so booked us another night so that we could enjoy Chester for longer which was a fantastic idea, as we'd already been enjoying the city so much on day 1. 

We watched some of a James Bond film before switching off for the night as the Friday had big plans, as we were going to Chester Zoo which I was super excited about. Look out for my upcoming Chester Zoo feature coming soon!

The next morning we got up and out as fast as possible as we we wanted to maximize our zoo day. During the previous night a baby giraffe had also just been born so when I found out in the morning I was really excited to see it! We spent an amazing day from 11am until 4:30pm at Chester Zoo seeing all of the animals and admiring them, before getting some food and heading back to Crabwall Manor, as we wanted to try out their spa and make the most of the pool, sauna, steam room and gym which they have. We also swapped rooms when we re-checked in and our second room as also beautiful, so nicely laid out and inviting for a cosy night's stay.

We headed down to the spa and enjoyed some swimming before testing out the sauna and steam room. 

We then also tried out the gym for a little while before a much needed evening of rest and recuperation. I enjoyed a lovely soak in the luxurious bath in our room before we watched some 'Sky Fall' which was on the TV.

The following morning we were checking out before heading into Chester for a day enjoying all that the city has to offer.
