An Evening Of Authentic Dining At 'Turkish Kitchen Meze and Grill'
A night of fabulously authentic dining awaits you should you visit the wonderful and newly opened Turkish Kitchen in Durham City. Located on Saddler Street, a visit is guaranteed to be a fun and memorable experience made fantastic by delicious Turkish cuisine.
The Turkish Kitchen menu has a whole host of different fantastic dishes to choose from, so if you're already a fan of Turkish cuisine or just trying it for the first time, there's definitely something which everyone will enjoy. I am half Turkish so any time I visit a Turkish restaurant it takes me back to my roots and I always adore the welcoming atmosphere and how friendly everybody is too.
For starters we chose Borek with a sweet chili dip. It was incredible and definitely a delicious dish that we would have again. The filo pastry made it so light and crispy, which was oh so more-ish! We also tried their hand made falafel on a yummy houmous base which was so flavorsome and herby, as well as being a fantastic vegetarian option too.
For mains, I got the Chicken Pot dish which was an incredible authentic dish with vegetables like broccoli and carrots, in an aromatic spicy sauce which had a fantastic spicy hum of heat. It was also served with a portion of steamed rice and was one of the best curries I've had!
My boyfriend got the Adana Kebab which was a truly authentic choice and great for any kebab lovers! Served with a side salad and a portion of rice.

They also serve a fab selection of different drinks and very well made mocktails too which are perfect for the designated driver or anyone requiring a non-alcoholic beverage option. I had a lovely berries and cherries cider and we tried their 'Fun Fizz' which is a mocktail with Elderflower, cordial, soda water, lemon and gomme (sugar syrup) which was so refreshing and delicious, wow!
We had a wonderful evening and would absolutely visit the Turkish Kitchen Meze and Grill again for their delicious food, warm and welcoming atmosphere and uplifting and sophisticated vibes. If you live in the Durham area or are seeking some authentic Turkish food, I'd highly recommend visiting. Love, Bilgi x
