A Lake District Bank Holiday Break to 'Hermiston Guest House'
Hello my lovelies and a very warm welcome to today's blog post. The UK recently had a lovely long weekend thanks to the August Bank Holiday and I spent it in the Lake District and whilst there, stayed at the oh so inviting Hermiston Guest House which is idyllically situated just a few miles from Keswick. It is such a wholesome and lovely guesthouse and as soon as we got there I felt immediately welcomed, so I wanted to share with you this feature and show you around by the medium of photography! I also have a vlog of our trip up on YouTube incase you'd like to see the full trip and what we got upto over the three days we were in the Lakes.
Each of the rooms at Hermiston Guest House is named after the hillsides which are in the immediate vicinity. Our room was called Latrigg which is the hillside which it overlooks from the window. The room comes with a cute tea and coffee station with a kettle, thank goodness as I need Earl Grey in high abundance, some complimentary cookies on arrival and we also were left some fruit pastels too, which I thought was a lovely touch!

We had breakfast on both mornings which we stayed at Hermiston Guest House too. They have a lovely variety of continental and cooked breakfasts to select from, so there's lots of variety to fuel you up for a full day of exploration!
The lounge area is really cosy and decked out with a well stocked bookcase, board games and lots of decorative old cameras which really adds to the aesthetic. Phil one of our hosts, is a photographer too, so lots of his landscape photos of different places in the Lake District adorn the guest house which is a really lovely personal touch.
We had a lovely visit and I highly recommend Hermiston Guest house if you're planning your own trip over to the Lake District. Have you visited the lakes before? Love, Bilgi x
