As we head into 2020, there's simply no better time to try a fun new cocktail whilst surrounded by family and friends too. Today's collaboration feature is with the wonderful Arbikie Distillery, a famous Scottish Distillery who are known for their artisan gin and vodka, all specially made with Scottish botanicals and ingredients of course. So get your cocktail shopping list ready, as I'm going to show you how to make the ultimate gin or vodka based drink that will get your NYE celebrations flowing! Read on for more!...

A Bit About Arbikie Distillery
Nestled up in Scotland, specifically the Arbikie Highland Estate, this family run business creates premium Scottish gin and vodka with a traditional ethos, that is a must have addition for any drinks' lovers liquor cabinet. Brothers John, Iain and David are the visionaries behind the success of Arbikie Distillery and have crafted products which are as innovative as they are unique.

The renovated cattle barn distillery overlooking the beautiful expanse of Lunan Bay which is a part of the Arbikie Highland Estate is a working farm, perfectly perched on the East coast of Angus. The Estate and everything which grows there is shaped by the environment. From the natural red sandstone-tinted soil, to the powerful sea and turbulent weather that this part of Scotland has, the produce used to create their drinks is of the most high quality possible and this is aptly reflected in the outcome of their fantastic spirits. You can check out the Arbikie Distillery website here for even more details.

It's all in the flavour notes...
Tattie Bogle Vodka
From the creamy rich black pepper to hint of pear, this vodka is unlike any other. You can shop the Tattie Bogle Vodka here. There is a mixture of Maris Piper, King Edward and Cultra Potatoes all used within this to give it such a unique and distinct profile. If you were also wondering, Tattie Bogle translates to Potato Scarecrows - something which used to be used on the Estate years ago to protect crops!

700ml bottle = £39.00

Kirsty's Gin
Smooth, creamy, floral, citrus and delicate black pepper notes are what you are treated to when you taste Kirsty's Gin from Arbikie Distillery. It's got a diverse tasting spectrum and the flavours beautifully blend together, harmoniously complimenting one another and enhancing each other perfectly and in total balance. You can shop Kirsty's Gin here.

700ml = £35.00

New Year's Eve Tipple: Zesty Vodka Spritzer
When the guests arrive, you will want a tray of these at the ready to serve up and get the party well and truly started with. I've used Arbikie's Tattie Bogle Vodka for this but it's easily interchanged with gin if you prefer.

Ingredients
1 x shot of Arbikie Distillery Tattie Bogle Vodka
2 fresh sprigs of Rosemary
Fresh slices of pink grapefruit
Lemon slices to garnish
Tonic (can be flavoured if desired)
Ice

How To
1. Start by adding a generous amount of ice to a glass.

2. Add any fruit slices and the shot of Vodka.

3. Add on the tonic, pouring smoothly to allow the citrus flavours to intermingle.

4. Serve immediately for optimum tasting results. (Always make one for yourself too, for quality control purposes naturally!)

What do you think of this NYE cocktail using Arbikie Distillery's fab vodka? Will you be mixing this up on New Year's Eve? Be sure to let me know if you decide to! Cheers to a healthy and happy 2020! Love, Bilgi   x
