Autumn Fashion | Red Velvet If You Please

I know that for the majority of people, Summer is their favourite season but I must admit, I am partial to the Autumn / Winter months, not only because I love hot chocolate and marshmallows, carving pumpkins, watching fireworks and shopping around the festive season, it's also because I adore the fashion.

Since I first purchased this simply divine burgundy velvet jacket, I have been looking for an occasion to wear it, until I realised every day is an occasion so today I wore it to go into university.

I have also rather recently started to embrace boots with a heel, as being just a couple of inches taller is actually quite empowering.

Crouching in the strawberry patch on an Autumn day.

Today it seems my look has predominantly come from one of my favourite shops, River Island. The great thing about all of the garments which I have worn, is they are easily interchangeable with other pieces in my wardrobe which is very useful. If anyone is going on a winter escape this year, packing essential pieces which you can wear in different ways is the first step in creating your capsule wardrobe.

  7. nice jacket! The material looks very soft and comfortable. I love the heels too, they definitely are a statement piece that compliments the look. What's university like? What do you study? :)
